A thoroughfare on Goose Island, N North Branch Street serves as a major transportation corridor that supports the thriving business community.

Recognizing the valuable role played by N North Branch Street, Alderman Walter Burnett (27th Ward) had the street repaved using discretionary funding.

He knows the ability of businesses to succeed and offer high-quality jobs depends upon having first-class infrastructure.

During this process, Alderman Burnett worked closely with the Chicago Department of Transportation and North Branch Works (NBW).

The repaving of N North Branch Street (pictured above) is a great example of the advocacy that NBW regularly does for industrial and manufacturing companies.

Indeed, we are grateful this project will benefit our members on Goose Island such as Essanay Studio and Lighting Company, MxD, R2 Companies, and Mars Wrigley.

We understand that pushing for infrastructure upgrades like the repaving of N North Branch is one of the best ways to advance sustainable economic development.

North Branch Works has a strong commitment to ensuring businesses on Goose Island have what they need to be successful over the long-term.

If your business is located on Goose Island, we’d love to connect with you.

North Branch Works would like to thank Alderman Burnett for his leadership in completing this important project.

We’d also like to recognize 27th Ward staffers, Reggie Stewart and Maryann Granger, for always taking our phone calls and partnering with us.
