As a delegate agency of the City of Chicago’s Nonprofit Capacity Building Program, the Women's Business Development Center (WBDC) is offering a free virtual cohort program for nonprofits with the help of BDO’s Nonprofit Grant and Advisory Team.

Nonprofits with operating budgets between $100,000 and $1 million can apply for the program here

The cohort program provides direct assistance to nonprofits in order to prepare them to access and apply for any upcoming grants or other financial aid.

The program will also provide tailored financial assistance that will help organizations prepare for and manage government funding and increase or maintain financial growth in the future.

Organizations will have to show an impact from COVID-19 as well as provide services to one or more low-to-moderate income communities.

To apply, please fill out your organization’s information on the form, then under the ‘Program Selection’ section select ‘Register for Event.'

In the dropdown menu select ‘Workshop’ and then in the second dropdown menu select ‘Cohort (WBDC)’. Once you click submit you should receive an email with further instructions for registration.

WBDC staff is currently recruiting for the cohort. After you apply, it's expected that you will hear from WBDC within a week about next steps.

With questions and for more information, please contact Maura Downs, Managing Director of Government Contracting Programs and Services, at 312-853-3477 x520 or mdowns@wbdc.org.
