Our next Industrial Business Council meeting features a presentation from Cook County Assessor Fritz Kaegi. It will be held at mHub (965 W. Chicago Avenue) on March 22nd starting promptly at 9 a.m.

Assessor Kaegi will give a brief presentation about the process his office uses to evaluate industrial and manufacturing properties. Then we will have time for comments, questions, and answers.
All businesses are welcome to attend; however, we are prioritizing our manufacturing and industrial businesses since the presentation will be geared toward this audience.
As a City of Chicago Local Industrial Retention Initiative (LIRI) delegate agency, we formed our Industrial Business Council (IBC) last year. Our IBC is made up of senior leaders from eight companies in our service area.
Last year, our IBC identified and began working on solutions to a number of issues that challenge industrial and manufacturing companies. Some of these include encroaching residential land use, labor shortages, and rising property taxes.
The upcoming meeting on March 22nd is a great opportunity to ask questions and share your perspective with an important decision-maker.
