The City of Chicago’s Small Business Improvement Fund (SBIF) is one of the best programs we have for strengthening local businesses.
We’re thrilled that SBIF opened today in part of our service area, the Addison South Tax Increment Financing District (pictured below right).

SBIF provides businesses and property owners with reimbursable grants for permanent building improvements.
Commercial firms are eligible for a grant up to $150,000 while industrial companies can receive a maximum of $250,000 with 50% reimbursement.

SBIF funds can be used for things like new roofs, windows, floors doors, HVAC systems, electrical wiring, interior remodeling, bathroom remodeling, and more.
The deadline to apply for SBIF in Addison South is December 30th at 5 p.m.

North Branch Works and Wintrust Bank are holding a SBIF information session for businesses interested in applying.
It will be held on Wednesday, December 3rd at 12:30 p.m. at Wintrust Bank’s Logan Square location (2814 W. Fullerton Avenue).
A complimentary lunch will be provided to all who attend.
