We have an incredible opportunity to position the Chicagoland region for sustainable economic growth in the $3 trillion green economy.

Prosperity Now has selected the Chicago region as one of four sites across the country to pilot a dynamic green business accelerator program. The goal is to build a strong network of organizations that can support local businesses that would like to transition into the green economy.

This initiative kicks off with a training program designed for community development financial institutions (CDFIs) and entrepreneur and business support organizations (BSOs).

Although the training is geared towards this group, all are welcome to participate and gain expertise.

The training program will start on March 3rd and cover practical skills and strategies for guiding businesses into the green sector.

North Branch Works is convening the green business accelerator for the Chicago region.

We will have a training opportunity soon for nine businesses and entrepreneurs who would like to add a green component to their operations.

In addition to learning the latest strategies for going green, the program will make grant awards of $2,500 to support businesses making this important transition.
