Join Urban Rivers for the 5th annual Wild Mile Block Party on Sunday, July 19th, from 3–8 p.m. at the Wild Mile near Goose Island (935 W. Eastman Street, Chicago, IL 60642).

This free public event will feature food, drinks, games, and activities for all ages. Please RSVP here.

The Wild Mile is a floating eco-park in the North Branch Canal, located near major retail destinations such as Whole Foods, Off-Color Brewing, and REI in our service area.

Today, the Wild Mile (pictured right) includes 700 linear feet of fully accessible natural space filled with wildlife.

The long-term vision is to extend the park for a full mile in the North Branch Canal.

For more details about the Block Party and other Urban Rivers summer programs, please see the latest Urban Rivers Newsletter.

Although attendance is free, Urban Rivers would love sponsorships from employers, businesses, and individuals. To sponsor the Block Party, please contact team@urbanriv.org.

Urban Rivers is a nonprofit working to restore the Chicago River as an ecologically rich and accessible space for everyone to enjoy.
