May 2, 2025

Start summer with a boat tour of the North Branch! To purchase tickets at the discounted early bird rate, please go here.

We’ll leave from the Wendella Boat dock on Goose Island (1535 N Cherry Avenue) promptly at 6 p.m. on Thursday, June 5th.

During the cruise, we’ll see up close several important sites and destinations along the North Branch.

Some of the key places include an Ozinga plant, Horween Leather Company, the Salt Shed, Essanay Studio & Lighting Company, The Hideout, Logistics Property Company’s two-story industrial warehouse, and the permanent Chicago casino site.

The cruise will also take us by major infrastructure projects such as the replacement of the Division Street Bridges and the Chicago Avenue Bridge and Halsted Viaduct Project.

We’ll enjoy delicious catered food and drinks from local businesses in our service area. And we’ll have plenty of time for networking and community building.

It’s a great opportunity to connect with small and industrial businesses in the area and partners of North Branch Works.

The Hideout (1354 W. Wabansia)

We have invited our colleagues at the Chicago Department of Planning and Development and Business Affairs and Consumer Protection as well as local elected officials.

We hope you can join us for our signature summer event.
