The City of Chicago’s Small Business Improvement Fund (SBIF) is one of the best tools we have for strengthening small, manufacturing, and industrial businesses.
We’re pleased that SBIF will open for property owners and tenant businesses with physical locations in the Addison South Tax Increment Financing District on December 1st. To check if your location is in Addison South, please use this SBIF Locator Tool.
North Branch Works & Wintrust Bank are hosting an information session about SBIF on Wednesday, December 3rd at 12:30 at Wintrust Bank Logan Square (2814 W Fullerton). A free lunch will be provided.
SBIF provides companies with reimbursable grants for permanent building improvements. Commercial firms are eligible for a grant up to $150,000 while industrial businesses can receive a maximum of $250,000 with 50% project reimbursement.
SBIF funds can be used for improvements such as new doors, windows, HVAC systems, air conditioning units, interior remodeling, and more.
NBW has guided many businesses through the SBIF program at no cost and is a resource for the local business community.
With questions about SBIF and to RSVP for the Dec. 3rd information session, please contact Steve Simmons at 773-929-5552 x2226 or steve@northbranchworks.org.
