Businesses on Chicago and Halsted, including Jerk. Jamaican Barbecue (811 W Chicago Ave), Eggholic (833 W Chicago Ave Fl 1), and Taco Pros (833 W Chicago Ave Fl 1) are open despite the ongoing construction of the Chicago-Halsted Bridge and Viaduct Project.
As you might imagine, the construction project has caused sales for businesses in this area to drop significantly. Now more than ever, these businesses need our support to make it through the project.

Ordering directly from their websites, visiting for dine-in, picking up food to-go, and placing a catering order are all great ways we can support these businesses.
The Chicago-Halsted Bridge and Viaduct Project began in August 2025. Currently, Chicago Avenue is fully closed in both directions to all traffic.
