Bally’s Chicago recently marked the installation of the final structural beam for its permanent casino at 705 W. Chicago Avenue.

The $1.7 billion development is expected to open in spring 2027 and create 3,000 permanent, high-quality jobs for the community.

Indeed, Bally's Chicago will have a table at our citywide jobs fair on June 11th from 9 a.m. to noon at the Hatchery. Anyone interested in talking with Bally's about upcoming job opportunities can sign up here.

The rapid pace of construction reflects the incredible work of the 1,000 union construction workers, who were recognized during the ceremony.

Attendees included Mayor Brandon Johnson; Alderman Walter Burnett Jr.; Alderman Walter “Red” Burnett; Soo Kim, executive chairman of Bally’s Corporation; former Mayor Lori Lightfoot; former Deputy Mayor for Neighborhood and Economic Development Samir Mayekar; and Bob Reiter, president of the Chicago Federation of Labor.

When complete, the riverfront casino will include:

  • 3,400 slot machines
  • 173 table games
  • 10 dining and beverage venues in partnership with Leavy Hospitality
  • 500-room hotel tower with rooftop bar
  • 3,000-seat entertainment theater and event center
  • 3,300 parking spaces
  • Public outdoor spaces and riverfront activation

The casino is projected to generate more than $100 million in annual revenue to support city services and infrastructure investment.

North Branch Works serves on the City of Chicago’s Casino Advisory Committee and is closely monitoring the project. We will share updates in our e-newsletter as well as on our blog and social media.

Stay tuned for updates about Bally’s Chicago and other major development projects in the North Branch as they move closer to completion.
