When you think of Avondale, what neighborhood destinations come to mind?

It's time to name your favorite businesses for the Avondale Spotlight Awards.

Nominations close this June 23rd, and voting will commence in preparation for the inaugural August 27th awards ceremony.

Join us in celebrating the best of Avondale by submitting your nominations here.

The Avondale Spotlight Awards celebrate the businesses, people, and organizations that help make Avondale one of Chicago’s most vibrant and unique neighborhoods.

We invite everyone who knows and loves Avondale to nominate the businesses and individuals who deserve recognition for their contributions to the community.

The Avondale Spotlight Awards Planning Committee is composed of members of the Avondale Neighborhood Association and North Branch Works, and is a co-produced event by both organizations.

  • For each category, please write in the name of the Avondale business, person, or organization you would like to nominate.
  • You may submit nominations for as many or as few categories as you like.
  • Please nominate businesses that are located within the Avondale neighborhood.
  • After nominations close, the top nominees in each category will move on to a public voting round to determine the Reader’s Choice winners, while a planning committee will also select Critic’s Choice winners.

The Avondale Spotlight Awards ceremony is expected to take place August 27th, 2026 at Revolution Brewing, bringing together local businesses and community members to celebrate the neighborhood.
