Local Industrial Retention Initiative (LIRI)

Chicago’s LIRI  program offers funding to not-for-profit organizations that provide economic development services to companies located in and around designated industrial corridors. LIRIs work toward job retention and creation, find solutions for individual business needs, and make linkages between businesses, their communities, and City services. Our LIRI program delivers services to businesses in the North Branch, Addison, and Kennedy Industrial Corridors.
Through the support of the City’s LIRI program, NBW works to create viable industrial corridors by advocating for sustainable, well-planned development. We provide a variety of services that include promoting local businesses, marketing and assisting with City programs and economic incentives, connecting businesses to financial resources, infrastructure assistance, finding expansion and relocation space, and providing networking and educational opportunities.

NBW also hosts quarterly Infrastructure Task Force meetings.
