Boulevard Bistro (2753 N Western) recently received a $10,000 grant from the Coramino Fund, a partnership between LISC Chicago and Gran Coramino Tequila.

Gran Coramino Tequila was co-founded by comedian and entrepreneur Kevin Hart and tequila maker Juan Domingo Beckmann.

For the past four years, the Coramino Fund has awarded grants to entrepreneurs in under-resourced communities.

The latest round of grants was open to businesses in five cities: Atlanta, Chicago, Detroit, Houston, and Los Angeles.

North Branch Works identified the grant opportunity and helped the restaurant apply. It's a great example of how we connect businesses to resources across our service area.

A woman-owned small business, Boulevard Bistro will use the funds to purchase kitchen equipment it currently leases, reducing its operating costs and positioning it for further growth.

Boulevard Bistro is a beloved diner in Chicago's Logan Square neighborhood that is open daily from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. and serves delicious breakfast and lunch food.

The menu features homemade favorites such as chilaquiles, biscuits and gravy, sandwiches, burgers, salads, and soups.

Owner Daria Pruska, a longtime former employee of Cornerstone Café, opened the restaurant in 2023 after the previous establishment closed unexpectedly.

The restaurant has become a neighborhood gathering place known for its good food and welcoming atmosphere, where customers often connect with each other and leave with new friends.
