Delmark Records and Burning Bush Brewery are teaming up to host the 3rd Annual Rockwell Street Stroll on Aug. 26th from 3-9 p.m.
This free, outdoor music festival will be held outside behind Burning Bush Brewery along the North Branch of the Chicago River. Vendors will setup at 3 p.m.; they include CHIRP Radio, Delmark Records, Burning Bush Brewery, food trucks, BBQ and more.
A woman-owned business, Delmark Records (4121 N. Rockwell Street) has a long history of ensuring jazz and blues musicians are recognized for their incredible talents. Performing artists include:
· Joey Saye, acoustic blues, from 4 to 4:45 p.m.
· Paul Giallorenzo Trio, pre-release event for his Jazz album, from 5 to 5:45 p.m.
· Delmark All Start Band – Dave Specter, Ken Saydak, Ron Simmons, Big Ray Stewart, Sharon Lewis & Willie Buck from 6-7 p.m.
· Jazz & Blues All Star Jam from 7:15-9 p.m.
The longest continuously operating jazz and blues record label in the United States, Delmark Records is celebrating its 70th year anniversary.
Coming to the Rockwell Street Stroll is a great way to support local businesses. The Rockwell Street Stroll is highly anticipated each year, drawing an audience of around 3,000 people.
The event brings together a wide range of musicians, culminating with the Delmark Blues & Jazz All Star Band.
The Rockwell Street Stroll is a truly collaborative music and cultural event within the Rockwell Corridor. Event sponsors include Delmark Records, Burning Bush Brewery, CHIRP Radio, and the North Center Chamber of Commerce with the support of Chicago DCASE and the Chicago Jazz Festival.
